The final day

Hello everyone,

This is me Megan writing an extremely delayed post about pre-birth when I was in fact supposed to start this blog during my pregnancy.
Who knew that babies take up A LOT of time, like no matter how many times people tell you this, I mean I believed them but thought they were exaggerating slightly ... nope! They were not exaggerating.

So here I am 6 weeks into having a very time consuming little boo thinking how on earth have I only just starting writing this?!

I was originally due on the 8th of April however my little bundle of joy had other plans for me; she knew I’d washed her clothing the day before so technically I was ready for her (3 week early) arrival.
Note to self: if I do this “let’s have a baby” thing again, please wash clothing and organise your life a little sooner than 36 +6. Drying baby laundry in the birthing room does not look good on your mom CV or to the lovely midwife on duty who keeps asking you kindly to “please dress your baby” ... which we did eventually by the way, once her clothes were dry, obviously.

Having the baby three weeks early was a shock / not a shock. My partner, mum and everyone in the world said I needed to take it easy and take my foot off the gas a little or else I couldgo into early labour and guess what? Yep they were all right! (Apparently mums are always right, I now know this is also true)
I highly don’t recommend painting garden furniture whilst heavily pregnant. My waters broke within the 7 hours of the last coat Ronseal. Oops.

Anyway I wanted to keep this short and sweetish so yep to summarise my first ever blog post:

- I now have a needy toddler (6 weeks old).
- Definitely like definitely do your laundry in advance.
- YES I am bloody shattered!

Thank you for reading,

All my love Megan, The new (to all this) Mum. xxx
